If your account uses the unplanned absence module, approval and update rights are handled differently. You need to ensure the correct roles are assigned to the sickness absence type.
📌 Note: This applies only to accounts using the Unplanned Absence Management module.
Update absence type permissions
Click HR Admin, then click Setup.
Click Types.
Select the Sick Days absence type.
Set the correct rights
Ensure the following roles are included:
Update rights: Add System Administrator.
Approve rights: Add System Administrator or Line Manager (depending on your setup).
Understand how permissions work
Update rights allow users to record sickness on behalf of others.
Approve rights control who reviews and manages sickness records.
📌 Note: The UAM module automatically applies workflow rules for sickness, so manual setup is limited.
Important information
You don’t need to manually assign a System Administrator in Accessers.
The module manages approval flow automatically.
Confirm the setup
After updating rights:
Test by logging or approving a sickness absence.
Confirm the correct users can record and review entries.
