If you need to track changes to absences, you can use auditing reports to see when requests were made, approved, or removed. This helps you investigate missing absences or confirm approval activity.
📌 Note: You need HR Admin permissions to access auditing reports.
View absence request history
Click HR Admin, then click Auditing.
Click Requests and approvals for a specific user (all time).
Select the user.
Click Submit.
The report shows:
When the request was made.
When it was approved.
Who made each change.
View recent activity
To see the latest changes:
Click HR Admin, then click Auditing.
Click Requests and approvals in last 7 days.
📌 Note: The user-specific report only shows data up to 00:00 GMT today. Use the 7-day report to see more recent activity.
Understand the audit data
Each absence usually appears as two entries:
A record with Status = 1 shows when the request was created.
A record with Status = 2 shows when the request was approved.
To view related records together:
Click the Date column header to sort the data.
Understand key fields
Log Time (UTC): Date and time of the change.
Changed User: The user the absence relates to.
By User: The person who made the change.
Date: The absence date.
Start Period / End Period:
0 = AM.
1 = PM.
Status:
0 = Removed.
1 = Requested.
2 = Approved.
3 = Cancellation requested.
Type Index:
0 = Holiday.
1 = Sickness.
2 = Miscellaneous.
Category Index:
Shows the category selected.
For hourly users, shows minutes taken.
Understand reporting limits
You can’t run a full audit for all users over a custom date range.
You can only:
View all time for a single user.
View the last 7 days for all users.
