If you need to remove sickness from a user’s calendar, the method depends on whether the Unplanned Absence Management module is enabled.

📌 Note: You need appropriate permissions (Line Manager or HR Manager) to remove sickness entries.

Remove sickness (standard setup)

  1. Sign in and go to Home.

  2. Select the user in View Calendar for.

  3. Click the padlock icon to enable editing.

  4. Click View.

  5. Select the SICK category.

  6. Click the sickness entry to remove it.

  7. Click Save.

Remove sickness (with unplanned absence module)

If the module is enabled, sickness follows a workflow and must be resolved first.

Resolve the absence

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Auditing.

  2. Click All outstanding unplanned absence.

  3. Locate the absence.

  4. Change the status to Resolved.

  5. Click Save.

Remove the calendar entry

After resolving:

  1. Go to the user’s calendar.

  2. Enable HR access.

  3. Remove the sickness entry.

  4. Click Save.

📌 Note: Resolving the absence prevents it from reappearing.

Understand system behaviour

  • Sickness entered via the unplanned absence module can’t be removed directly until resolved.

  • Only HR Managers can resolve these absences.

  • Line Managers can remove sickness only if the module isn’t in use.

Handle outstanding forms

Statuses may include:

  • FollowUp: Employee must complete a return-to-work form.

  • ReviewForm: Manager must review the form.

You can’t skip stages, but you can resolve the absence manually if needed.
