If you can’t change a daily working pattern, the user may be set up incorrectly as an hourly worker. The system won’t apply daily pattern changes unless the worker type is consistent.
📌 Note: You need HR Admin permissions to update work layers and run pattern wizards.
Check the worker type
Click HR Admin, then click Users.
Click Change user work layers.
Find the user.
Check the Hourly worker? setting.
Fix the worker type
If the user is set incorrectly:
Set Hourly worker? to 0 for a daily worker.
Or set it to 1 if the user should be hourly.
Click Save after making changes.
Run the correct wizard
After updating the worker type:
Run Change work pattern wizard for a daily worker for daily users.
Or run Change hours wizard for an hourly worker for hourly users.
Understand the cause
This issue usually happens when:
A user has been assigned the wrong worker type.
The wrong wizard is used for the worker type.
The system requires the worker type and wizard to match.
