If a user works a repeating pattern longer than a standard week, such as fortnightly or multi-week shifts, you can configure a longer working pattern using the work pattern wizard and custom work layers.
đ Note: You need HR Admin permissions to update working patterns and work layers.
Set a fortnightly working pattern
Click HR Admin, then click Users.
Run Change work pattern wizard for a daily worker.
Enter 14 in Length of Hours Pattern in days.
Define the working and non-working days.
Complete the wizard.
đ Note: Include non-working days in the total pattern length.
Set a pattern longer than 28 days
The wizard supports up to 28 days. For longer patterns, extend the pattern manually.
Create the base pattern
Click HR Admin, then click Users.
Run Change work pattern wizard for a daily worker.
Set up the first 28 days.
Complete the wizard.
Extend the pattern manually
Click HR Admin, then click View or create your own custom work layers.
Find the most recent work layer.
Click the Work Pattern field.
Add additional days to the pattern.
Press Enter, then click Save.
Understand the work pattern format
Each day is split into AM and PM values.
00 represents a working period.
11 represents a non-working period.
đ¤ Tip: Add values in pairs to represent each day. For example, Monday to Friday working, weekend off: 00,00,00,00,00,11,11
Apply the updated allowance
After creating or updating the pattern:
Click My Admin, then click View another user.
Select the user, then click Allowances.
Review the suggested allowance.
Click the link to copy values to This Yearâs Holiday Quota.
Click Submit changes.
