If an hourly worker’s allowance looks incorrect, the most common cause is the wrong allowance profile. The system calculates hourly and daily allowances differently, so using the wrong profile can produce incorrect results.
📌 Note: You need HR Admin permissions to update user allowances and profiles.
Check the allowance profile
Click My Admin, then click View another user.
Select the user, then click Allowances.
Check the value in Allowance Profile.
Select the correct hourly profile if needed.
Click Submit changes.
Apply the recalculated allowance
After you update the profile:
Click the link to copy values to This Year’s Holiday Quota.
Click Submit changes to save.
Understand why the allowance is incorrect
The system uses different units:
Hourly workers use minutes.
Daily workers use days.
If you assign the wrong profile:
A daily profile may convert 25 days into 25 minutes.
An hourly profile may show a daily worker as having hundreds of days.
Understand rounding limitations
Hourly workers don’t have fixed working days, so the system can’t round to full or half days.
You can round to the nearest hour.
You can’t round hourly allowances to days or half days.
Adjust allowance manually if needed
If you need to correct the total:
Calculate the required number of hours.
Adjust the allowance manually.
Save the changes.
