If a user works different hours each day or needs their leave tracked in hours instead of days, you can convert them to an hourly worker using the hourly worker setup wizard.

📌 Note: You need HR Admin permissions to run the hourly worker setup wizard.

Convert a user to an hourly worker

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Users.

  2. Run Hourly worker setup wizard.

  3. Select the employee.

  4. Select an option in Hourly allowance profile.

  5. Enter the effective date.

  6. Enter the minutes worked for each morning and afternoon.

📌 Note: Use the hours and minutes calculator at the bottom of the page to help with conversions.

Decide when to use hourly working

You don’t need to convert a user to hourly working just because they work part-time.

  • Use hourly working when the user works different hours each day.

  • Keep daily working when the user works consistent hours each day.

For example:

  • A user working 2 hours on Monday and 3 hours on Tuesday should use hourly working.

  • A user working 4 days a week at 6 hours each day can remain as a daily worker.

This ensures the system deducts the correct amount of leave based on time worked.

Enable the hourly worker option

If you don’t see the hourly worker setup wizard, contact your administrator to enable this feature for your account.
