Update a user’s employment start date

Correct a user’s employment start date without creating a new account.

If you entered the wrong start date for a user, you can update it directly. There’s no need to remove and recreate the user.

📌 Note: You need HR Admin permissions to update user details.

Update the start date

  1. Click My Admin, then click View another user.

  2. Select the user, then click Key dates.

  3. Update the Employment Start Date.

  4. Click Submit changes.


Update the allowance

After changing the start date:

  1. Click Allowances.

  2. Review the suggested calculation.

  3. Click the link to copy values to This Year’s Holiday Quota.

  4. Click Submit changes.

📌 Note: The start date affects allowance calculations, so you should review and apply the updated values.


Avoid creating duplicate users

  • Don’t delete and recreate users to fix date errors.

  • Email addresses must be unique and can’t be reused.
