If a full-time user’s allowance looks incorrect, it may be because their location uses the wrong benchmark. Locations define working patterns, bank holidays, and standard hours, so you may need to create a new location to match the user’s setup.
📌 Note: You need HR Admin permissions to create locations and update user records.
Create a new location
Click HR Admin, then click Setup.
Click Locations Data, then click Insert.
Enter a name in Name.
Enter the standard pattern in Layer Array (for example,
1,3for full time with UK bank holidays).Enter the hourly pattern in Hourly Layer Array.
Enter the daily working minutes in Default Minutes.
Select a value in Time Zone.
(If used) Select a value in Locale Name.
Click Save.
Assign users to the correct location
Click HR Admin, then click Names and user names.
Select the user.
Select the correct value in Location.
Click Save.
Understand how locations affect allowances
The system uses location settings to:
Define the standard working pattern.
Set bank holiday benchmarks.
Calculate user entitlement.
If users belong to the wrong location:
They may receive too many or too few bank holidays.
Their allowance calculation may appear incorrect.
Apply updated allowances
After you change a user’s location:
Review their suggested allowance.
Apply the updated value if needed.
📌 Note: The system does not automatically update allowances after changes. You must review and apply the suggested calculation.
