If you need to apply bank holidays to a specific user, you can add a bank holiday layer to their layer array. This ensures the correct bank holiday dates apply to their calendar and allowance.

šŸ“Œ Note: You need HR Admin permissions to update user work layers.

Add a bank holiday layer

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Users.

  2. Click Change user work layers.

  3. Find the user, then click the Layer Array field.

  4. Add the bank holiday layer ID to the existing values.

  5. Press Enter, then click Save.

Identify the correct layer ID

If you don’t know the layer ID:

Custom layers

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Users.

  2. Click View or create your own custom work layers.

  3. Find the required layer and note the ID.

Default layers

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Users.

  2. Click View default work layers.

  3. Find the relevant bank holiday layer.

Check the update

After you save:

  • The user will have the updated bank holidays applied.

  • The changes will appear in their calendar and working pattern.

āš ļø Important: Always keep the existing values in the Layer Array. These values control the user’s working pattern. Removing them can affect working patterns and allowances.
