Update custom bank holiday layers

Update or create custom bank holiday layers, including adding company-wide days off or correcting existing dates.

If you need to manage company-specific bank holidays or bulk add days off, you can update custom bank holiday layers. This lets you apply consistent non-working days across users.

Update an existing bank holiday layer

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Setup.

  2. Click Custom Bank Holidays.

  3. Select a layer, then click Submit.

  4. Update the required fields:

    • Description.

    • Period.

    • Bank holiday dates.

  5. Click Save.


Add a new bank holiday layer

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Setup.

  2. Click Custom Bank Holidays.

  3. Click Insert.

  4. Enter the required details.

  5. Click Save.


Error: 'Access denied to field'

If you see the error ā€˜Refused update of all data’ or ā€˜Access denied to field’, your permissions are restricted.

This usually happens when your HR Manager access is limited to a specific location.

  • You can’t update bank holiday layers if they apply to users outside your scope.

  • Ask a company-wide HR Manager to make the changes.


Find a company-wide HR Manager

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Setup.

  2. Click Accessers.

  3. Apply a filter for Scope set to Company.

This shows users who have organisation-wide access.
