Enable Edit calendar access

Allow managers or users to view and edit individual calendars instead of only group views.

If managers can only see the View Group option and not Edit calendar for, they may not have the correct update rights. You need to grant the appropriate permissions for them to access individual calendars.

šŸ“Œ Note: You need HR Admin permissions to update absence type rights.

Add update rights for managers

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Setup.

  2. Click Types.

  3. Select the required absence type.

  4. Update Update rights.

  5. Add Line Manager (or Admin Assistant if required).

  6. Click Save.

Confirm access

After updating permissions:

  • The manager can select Edit calendar for.

  • They can view and manage calendars for users they are responsible for.

Understand how this works

  • Update rights allow users to make bookings on behalf of others.

  • When enabled, this also gives access to Edit calendar for.

Fix users not appearing

If a manager still can’t see certain users:

  • Check they are assigned as the correct line manager.

  • Confirm they have the required permissions.

  • Ensure they have access to view the relevant absence types.
