Fix invalid IP error for out of office monitor

Resolve issues where you can’t view the out of office monitor due to an invalid IP address or restricted access.

If you see an “Invalid IP range” error when accessing the out of office monitor, your IP address isn’t included in the safe list. You must add it to enable access from your location.

📌 Note: You need HR Admin permissions to update the safe IP address list.

Check if your IP is blocked

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Utilities.

  2. Click Create an out of office monitor.

  3. Check the preview window.

If you see this message:

“Invalid IP range – please log in to TeamSeer to view this page”

  • Your IP address is not authorised.

  • Note the IP address shown in the message.


Add your IP address to the safe list

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Setup.

  2. Click Safe IP Address List.

  3. Click Insert to add a new record.

  4. Enter your IP address in:

    • Start of Safe IP Range

    • End of Safe IP Range

  5. Click Save.


Confirm access

  • Reload the out of office monitor.

  • Confirm the page now loads correctly.


Understand how this works

  • The safe IP list controls access to out of office monitors.

  • Only approved IP addresses can view these pages externally.

  • You must add each location or network you want to allow.
