If you want to change how much holiday users can carry over, you don’t need to update anything immediately. You set the rollover cap as part of the rollover process or define it in allowance profiles for future use.
📌 Note: You need HR Admin permissions to update allowance profiles and run the rollover process.
Set a rollover cap on allowance profiles
You can prepare in advance by defining rollover caps in allowance profiles.
Click HR Admin, then click Setup.
Click Allowance Profiles.
Scroll to Default cap on roll-over allowance.
Enter the maximum carry-over value:
Use days for daily profiles.
Use minutes for hourly profiles.
Click Save.
Apply the rollover cap during rollover
When you run the rollover:
Click HR Admin, then click Utilities.
Run End of year rollover program.
Set the rollover expiry date.
Select Rollover depends on allowance profiles.
This applies the caps you defined in each allowance profile.
Understand how rollover caps work
You set the cap during the rollover process.
The system applies the cap when calculating new allowances.
You can use allowance profiles to apply different caps to different groups.
