If a user’s entitlement changes during the year, you can adjust their allowance manually. The system only applies one allowance profile per business year, so you must use adjustments to reflect changes such as promotions or policy updates.

📌 Note: You need HR Admin permissions to update user allowances.

Adjust a single user’s allowance

  1. Click HR Admin, then click View another user.

  2. Select the user, then click Allowances.

  3. Update Other Adjustments to Holiday Allowance with a plus or minus value.

  4. Enter a reason in Other Adjustments Reason.

  5. Click Submit changes.

Update the allowance profile for future use

If the user’s entitlement has permanently changed:

  • Update their allowance profile to the correct profile.

  • The system will apply this from the next business year.

When to use manual adjustments

Use manual adjustments when:

  • A user buys or sells holiday.

  • A user’s entitlement increases or decreases mid-year.

  • You need to reduce entitlement (for example, furlough adjustments).

Update multiple users in bulk

  1. Click HR Admin, then click Allowances and start dates.

  2. Scroll to find Other Adjustments to Holiday Allowance.

  3. Enter values for each user.

  4. Enter reasons in Other Adjustments Reason.

  5. Save regularly as you update records.
